Hammer Head T Nut for 20 Series Aluminium Extrusion (Slot 6 mm), M3, M4, and M5
T-nut is one of the essential components for connecting aluminum extrusion profiles to create mechanical structures and frames. Using a simple nut (hexagon) inside the slot of an aluminum profile is very difficult. Therefore, the T-nut is designed with various slot sizes and screw sizes to make it easier and possible to create aluminum structures.
The reason for using these nuts is the ease of use in tightening the screws of aluminum profile connectors. These nuts are placed inside the profile slots and prevent rotation, allowing screws to be tightened from the outside. This nut is used for 6mm slot profiles and 20-series aluminum profiles including 2020, 2040, etc. This product has different thread sizes including M3, M4, and M5, allowing various screws to be fastened. This product is made of zinc-plated iron and has sufficient strength.
Differences between Hammer Head T-Nut and Slide T-Nut
Different models of T-nuts are designed for various applications and use in different locations. However, two main types of T-nuts are more commonly used: the slide (rectangular) T-nut and the hammer T-nut. The main difference between these nuts is that the slide T-nut is rectangular and must be inserted into the slot from one of the ends of the profile and moved to the desired location before tightening the screw. In contrast, the hammer T-nut is designed with rounded corners so that it can be inserted into the middle of the profile slot. As soon as you start turning the screw, the T-nut rotates with it until it is fixed to the edges of the profile. Then, the screw can be fully tightened. To take the nut back out, simply rotate the nut in the opposite direction, and it will easily come out of the slot.
