LM8UU Linear Ball Bushing
The lm8uu is a simple model of a linear bearing with an inner diameter of 8mm. This bearing is used on a shaft or rod of the same size. The LM8UU offers a very reasonable price for creating a linear motion.
The following picture shows dimensions for a regular LM8UU:
In the past, rotational bearings were used, but with the need for linear motion, linear bearings were developed. This type of bearing performs back-and-forth motion by sitting on a shaft. Due to the curved surface of the bearing, at least two rods and two bearings are required to create linear motion.
